This ground-up residence is a one part midcentury case study, one part modern material exploration, and all San Diego lifestyle. The design brief was clear; create a classic indoor-outdoor home that embraces the hilltop view and mild weather, while supporting the owner’s poolside BBQ habit. The ‘L' shaped home hugs the outdoor living space and is rotated precisely to maximize views of the sunrise and Black Mountain in the distance. Photorealistic renderings were created as a design tool for collaboration with the clients. Currently under construction and slated to be completed 2027.
